50- Hour Tai Chi for Martial Artists Instructor Course

Our 50-Hour course follows the current health and fitness industry standard approach to Continuing Professional Development (CPD), offering experienced martial artists comprehensive face-to-face instruction to give each participant the experience and skills required to understand Tai Chi at a high level and to pass on the skills to others in a meaningful and easy-to-learn manner. 

The comprehensive course will consist of 6 days (all day Sunday) over the period of 6 months and will cover the main aspects of Tai Chi, including the following:

      

             - Tai Chi structure and relaxation principles and how they apply to movement

             - Yang 24 Form

             - 8 Brocades - Qi Gong and variations

             - Basic Push hands

             - Tai Chi Applications and how they apply to the form

             - Correct postures and stances and posture testing 

             - The use of internal energy within the form and Qi Gong

             - Brief Tai Chi history including style differences

             - Tai Chi Philosophy and key concepts relating to Tai Chi and Qi Gong

             - Basic Traditional Chinese Medicine concepts, including 5 Element theory,  key                meridians and their relevance to Tai Chi and Qi Gong

             - Western anatomy and physiology as required

             - Meditation theory and practice, both static and moving

             - Tests - practical demonstration of main elements taught
